Hellboy and the Golden Army

In Service of Monsters is a tribute art show curated by Chogrin and Gay Deocampo, hosted at Gallery 1988. The exhibition consists of paintings, prints, sculptures and installations from over 100 artists from around the world inspired by the filmography of Guillermo del Toro. Each piece commemorating Del Toro’s work on Pan’s Labryrinth, Hellboy, Pacific Rim, and Crimson Peak.

My piece depicts Rob Perlman as Hellboy narrowly escaping the clutches of one of the robots featured in Hellboy II: The Golden Army. The art style is a bit more light hearted and cartoony than you’d expect from the typical Hellboy visual aesthetic. It’s a limited edition 4-color screenprint on gold paper.
